Building a Stronger Early Childhood System in Texas
Texas has taken important steps to strengthen early childhood education, including new investments in public pre-K and child care, greater attention to cross-agency data and coordination, and a statewide examination of how early childhood programs are governed. Yet important questions remain: Which families can access public pre-K? What makes programs effective for children? And does Texas have the information it needs to understand what is working?
