LONESTARP3 is excited to welcome Jennifer Lawson as our new Research Program Manager.

Jennifer joins the network with more than 15 years of experience conducting applied research, program evaluation, and systems improvement work at the intersection of research, policy, and practice. Most recently, she led research and evaluation efforts at the Texas Alliance of Child and Family Services, helping organizations and agencies across Texas use data and evidence to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families.

Throughout the hiring process, colleagues consistently described Jennifer as intellectually curious, collaborative, and exceptionally thoughtful. She is known for bringing clarity to complex projects, building trust across diverse stakeholder groups, and helping people work together toward shared goals—qualities that align closely with the spirit of LONESTARP3.

Jennifer’s background offers an exciting extension of the network’s work. Her experience in child welfare, longitudinal data analysis, mixed-methods research, continuous improvement, and cross-sector partnerships brings valuable perspectives that connect education to the broader systems that support children and families.

A fifth-generation Texan originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Jennifer enjoys two-stepping, puzzles, baking, and being bossed around by her 7-pound terrier, Sister Bobbie.

We look forward to introducing Jennifer to members and partners across the network in the coming months.
